Nintendo dates Splatoon, Fatal Frame and Fire Emblem

Three of Nintendo’s upcoming titles have been given release dates – varying from the firm to the vague.

Multiplayer Wii U shooter Splatoon will arrive on the console on May 29th. A new game mode for the title has also been revealed that sees two players competing against one another on the same screen -one using the GamePad and the other the controller and TV.

A little further down the like, Fatal Frame will also be released for the console some time in 2015. It’s a localised version of Fatal Frame 5: The Black-Haired Shrine Maiden, which was released in Japan last autumn.

Even further afield, however, is a 2016 release for a brand new entry in the Fire Emblem series on 3DS. The game is without a final name as of yet, although it has been confirmed that players will be able to choose between two factions – one of which will be more accessible and provide a more traditional Fire Emblem experience with the other proving trickier.

Nintendo also confirmed that Wii U title Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem remains in development, despite news on it being virtually non-existent since its announcement in 2013. The game is being co-developed by both Atlus and Intelligent Systems.

In fact, there’s even a new trailer for it:
