Nintendo eyes Asian markets

Nintendo has targeted the Asian market outside of Japan with new DS consoles and simulation titles, according to Japanese paper Nikkei.

As reported by Thompson Financial, the platform-holder has developed localised DS systems for the Taiwan market, and will debut them in mobile phone stores this month. China will also receive these devices by the end of the year.

Furthermore, Nintendo has been working with a South Korean development firm on developing territory-specific games such as simulation titles. Twenty games are expected to be released within a year.
