NINTENDO: Mario Maker level creator confirmed

Nintendo has officially confirmed previously leaked title Mario Maker.

It allows gamers to create custom levels for Mario to navigate. Presumably these will be sharable online, although little in the way of specific functionality has been confirmed as of yet.

The game uses a host of assets familiar to fans of the Super Mario platform series, both from the 90s and more recently the New Super Mario series.

It appears to be a Wii U game and has a release date of 2015.
