Nintendo price protects Wii stock

Following this morning’s news of a drop in the trade price of Wii in the UK – which was broken exclusively by MCV – Nintendo has reassured retailers that it will price protect existing Wii stock.

Speaking to MCV, Nintendo confirmed that it will work with retailers to ensure that any stock bought between yesterday and April 2009, during which time the trade price was temporarily inflated, will not leave them out of pocket.

For more details, retailers are encouraged to contact their distributor.

The new Wii bundle will include Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort and a Wii MotionPlus attachment.
