PES 2014 multiplayer added with day one patch; More multiplayer features incoming

A day one match is needed before PES 2014 is able to offer online multiplayer, Konami as confirmed.

That’s not a problem, of course, as one would not intend to take the game online were they not to have an internet connection. The patch unlocks the Friendly Match Lobby, Ranking Matches and the Master League Online.

Konami has also revealed that it will be adding 11 vs 11 multiplayer via a second patch coming in the weeks after launch”, as well as improved matchmaking support, roster updates, some new faces for players and a number of general cosmetic improvements.

PES 2014 was released last week and debuted in 2nd place in the UK charts.
