Pokémon Sun and Moon trademarks registered by Nintendo

The big surprise from tomorrow’sPokmon Direct video may have just been spoilt.

Nintendo in Europe has registered the names Pokmon Moon” and Pokmon Sun”, as spotted byVideogamer news chief David Scammell.

This week marks the 20th anniversary of the Pokemon franchise (at least in Japan) and Nintendo is marking the occasion with a special Nintendo Direct tomorrow at 3pm UK time.

Pokmon Red, Blue and Yellow also hit the Nintendo eShop this week for the 3DS console.
