Nintendo may finally be about to make its long-awaited jump onto iOS.
No, the company is not, as previously pledged, enabling Mario to move onto smartphone”, but YouTuber Josh Wittenkeller has said on Twitter that the platform holder IS porting its Pokemon Trading Card Game to iOS.
The game was previously released digitally on PC and Mac.
A rep from The Pokmon Company has subsequently confirmed to Polygon that the game is real, although there’s not yet any word on a possible release date. Siliconera does report, however, that a ‘shocking’ Pokemon announcement will be made on August 26th.
The Pokemon Company has previously released a number of Pokemon apps on smartphones but this will be the first proper game. Could a Pokemon RPG be following?
