Dead Space Extraction detailed

EA has revealed a number of new details concerning its Wii-only outing for successful survival horror title Dead Space, which is to be called Dead Space: Extraction.

The game is being built from the ground up for Nintendo’s console and will tell the tale of the events leading up to the story told in last year’s debut outing for the series. It will also introduce co-op multiplayer gaming – a first for the series.

We could not be more excited to extend Dead Space into an experience exclusive to the Wii,” EA Redwood Shores VP and general manager Glen Schofield stated. Nintendo has a wonderful history in the horror genre and we are thrilled to build on that tradition with Dead Space Extraction.

As we were developing Dead Space, we realised that there was so much of the story going untold. Dead Space Extraction tells that story with all of the intensity, blood and gore that fans would expect.”

The game will be released on Wii this autumn.
