Deep Silver acquires Homefront IP from Crytek

Deep Silver has purchased the Homefront intellectual property from Crytek, taking Homefront: The Revolution out of Crytek’s hands and placing Deep Silver Dambuster Studios in charge of development.

"We are thrilled to see another great IP joining the Deep Silver universe," CEO of Deep Silver’s parent company Koch Media Dr. Klemens Kundratitz said.

"We strongly believe in the potential of Homefront: The Revolution and trust in the new team to continue the path they have been walking in the last years."

Deep Silver and Crytek had originally planned to co-publish the title, but Crytek’s recent financial woes apparently spurred the change.

The publisher further confirmed to Polygonthat Deep Silver Dambuster Studios is a new company based in Nottingham, founded specifically to take over development of the Homefront franchise.
