Demanding PC specs revealed for The Witcher 3

PC owners who want to see upcoming RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt running at its best will need a beefy system to play it on.

The game’s recommended system requirements list either a multithreaded Intel Core i7 3770 3.4GHz or eight-core AMD FX-8350 4GHz CPU. The GPU will need to be either an Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 or an AMD Radeon R9 290 alongside 8GB of RAM and a 64-bit OS.

The minimum specs list an Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz or Phenom II X4 940 for the CPU, a GPU matching either the GeForce GTX 660 or Radeon HD 7870 as well as 6GB of RAM.

The game also asks for 40GB of HDD space and DirectX 11.

The Witcher 3 is, following two delays, currently due out on May 19th.
