Dev confirms work on first Wii Software title

US developer Medaverse has revealed via its forums that it is working on a title, named Gravitronix, for Nintendo’s upcoming Wii Software Channel, according to

Eurogamer

.

Gravitronix allows up to four players to enter battle in a single-screen arena, firing all manner of assorted projectiles and making full use of Wii’s control options.

The Wii Software Channel is intended to compliment Nintendo’s current Virtual Console, which allows Wii owners to download a large variety of retro game that were previously released on systems such as the SNES, Mega Drive, N64 and Turbografx.

It will offer original content that has not been seen previously – much like many of the titles available on Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade and Sony’s PlayStation Network.
