E3 2011: Activision’s line-up detailed

Activision has announced full details of its line-up for this year’s E3 Expo.

The publisher’s flagship franchise, Call of Duty, will headline its offering in Los Angeles with Modern Warfare 3 and another glimpse at its upcoming social networking service Call of Duty Elite.

Focusing on a wider market, Activision will be showing off Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure. This innovative title merges the worlds of toys and video games together, allowing players to bring their action figures to life in-game.

Superhero fans will be catered for with Prototype 2, the sequel to the 2009 hit, as well as a duo of Marvel titles: X-Men Destiny and Spider-Man: Edge of Time.

Finally, Activision will give E3 attendees hands-on time with Transformers: Dark of the Moon, due next month, and Wappy Dog, the new virtual pet simulator for DS.

"We are putting more focus, creativity and investment into every game we make than ever before,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing.

By developing deep, connected and engaging experiences we are staying ahead of the innovation curve and offering players unique entertainment experiences.”
