EA appoints new PR agency for Games Label

Publisher EA has appointed PrettyGreen as its retained UK PR agency.

PR Week reports that PrettyGreen will manage both the EA Games Label and EA Maxis. It will oversee the launches of games such as Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Medal of Honor: Warfighter and The Sims 3: Supernatural.

We saw a lot of agencies pitch, but felt that PrettyGreen offered us a fantastic mix of creativity and passion, which we found so infectious,” EA UK PR boss Shaun White stated.

We’re excited about embarking on a new journey with an agency that will challenge us internally and help us really push the boundaries.”

PrettyGreen boss Mark Stringer added: EA is one of those dream brands that’s on every agency’s wish list. It’s a great win for the team and we feel somewhat honoured that EA has chosen PrettyGreen and are as excited as we are with the campaigns that we have developed.”

Clifford French will continue to oversee the EA Sports label. EA’s rival Activision appointed The Red Consultancy in May in what is believed to be the biggest account in UK games PR, worth an estimated 500k.
