Elite Dangerous will support Oculus Rift

The maker of Elite, Frontier, will support the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset in its upcoming Elite: Dangerous game.

Frontier has also revealed that the Oculus Rift version of Elite: Dangerous will be available to of the title’s crowdfunding backers at no extra cost.

We’ve been playing with the Oculus Rift dev kits and are excited about the potential – just glancing around your cockpit or being totally immersed in a space battle,” said David Braben, CEO of Frontier.
