Embracer Freemode announces Overload PR

Embracer Freemode has announced that it will now offer PR and communication services to external partners from around the video game industry through a consultancy called Overload PR.

Overload PR will specialise in public relations, but will also offer social media management, influencer engagement services, and more. Among Overload’s first clients is GAME, who will work with them on ‘select PR initiatives’, although there’s been no word on which ones just yet.

“It’s an honour to provide a comprehensive PR service to the diverse companies within the Freemode group.” said Alex Verrey, VP of PR and Communications and Gabrielle Hibberd, Head of PR, in a joint statement.

“We’re fully committed to the ongoing support of the internal business; however, we believe there is an opportunity to add further value by expanding our offering to the many partners within Embracer, as well as the broader games industry. With both our backgrounds in agency-based consultancies, we believe this is a natural evolution and look forward to contributing to the continued growth of Freemode.”
