F1 2013 gets 4th October release date

Codemasters has announced that this year’s Formula 1 game, F1 2013, will release on 4th October.

This is the first time since F1 2009 that the annual F1 game will not release in September. And it’s not hard to see why, with both Grand Theft Auto V and FIFA 14 set for release in the second half of September.

The headlining feature of F1 2013 is the F1 Classics mode that will see iconic cars and racing legends from the 1980s grace this year’s game.

In Classics mode, players will have access to 80s F1 cars from Williams, Lotus and Ferrari, and will be able to go up against greats like Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Emerson Fittipaldi, and Gerhard Berger, around classic circuits like Brands Hatch and Jerez.

Codemasters has also announced the F1 2013 Classic Edition, which also includes classic F1 content from the 1990s as well as classic F1 circuits. We’ve reached out to Reliance Home Video and Games to find out if this edition will be available in India.

F1 2013 is scheduled for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
