Former EA VP joins Oculus VR as head of worldwide publishing

Former EA Partners head David DeMartini has joined Oculus VR as head of worldwide publishing.

The ex-Electronic Arts senior VP spoke with Gamasutra on the new position, explaining that what he’ll be focusing on for Oculus is similar to what he did with EA for seven years.

"I’m figuring out how to partner effectively with big developers, small developers, all the way down to the individual who just wants to make something great for the Rift," DeMartini said.

[It’s] not particularly different from what I did for seven years [with the EA Partners program].”

Though Oculus VR’s new branch will work to get developers onboard with the tech, it’s unclear if any financial backing is involved in the budget – one that recently received a $75m infusion.
