Pocket Sized Hands is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jim Woods to its Board of Directors in a non-executive role. With an impressive track record and a wealth of experience, Woods brings valuable insights and additional strategic vision to the organization.

Jim Woods joins with a distinguished career in the video games industry at world renowned studios such as SEGA, Supermassive Games, and most recently at Sumo Digital Sheffield as Studio Director before moving to his current role as Vice President.

“We’re really pleased to welcome Jim to the Pocket Sized Hands Board,” said Gary McCartan, Managing and Creative Director of Pocket Sized Hands. “He’s been advising for a number of months at this point where his input and expertise have been massively advantageous in shaping our strategy and decision making.” He added.

“We’ve had an exceptional year so far with the launch of Gestalt: Steam & Cinder, Smalland: Survive the Wilds VR, as well as continued success with Pocket Mortys. We’re excited to continue working together through this significant time in the organization’s history. Jim’s input will help us in shaping the studio into the best version of itself, working toward creating sustainable jobs and of course, more incredible game titles”.

Woods joins the board as the first non-executive and non-founding member of Pocket Sized Hands. “I’m thrilled to be working with the team” said Woods. “Pocket Sized Hands has ambitious growth plans for the coming years. It looks like a very promising time for the organization, and I’m delighted to have the opportunity to be a part of it all”.

Jim Woods joins a longstanding group of leaders on Pocket Sized Hands’ Board of Directors, including Gary McCartan, Managing and Creative Director, Alan Yeats, Operations Director, and Rory Thomson, Technical Director. Together, they will guide the company toward new horizons and ensure its continued success.
