Audio post-production boutique Sound Lab, a Keywords Studio, is elevating its music division with the appointment of Savina Ciaramella as Sr. Director of Music. A seasoned music executive with over two decades of expertise producing scores for AAA games, Ciaramella will lead the charge in shaping immersive soundscapes across video games, film, television, and beyond, cementing Sound Lab‘s reputation as an industry leader in audio excellence.

Ciaramella has collaborated with world renowned composers such as Alexandre Desplat, Volker Bertelmann, Brian Tyler, and Ramin Djawadi. She recorded premier orchestras, choirs and artists globally for numerous video game projects such as Call of Duty: Mobile, Assassin’s Creed Mobile, Age of Empires Mobile, Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, Fortnite, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, Honor of Kings, Game for Peace, League of Legends, and most recently Towerborne and Squid Game: Unleashed.

Ciaramella began her career at Walt Disney Records in the A&R department, where she played a pivotal role in developing award-winning albums, earning 15 RIAA-certified gold, platinum, and diamond awards for projects including Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Tarzan, Mulan, and Disney’s Lullaby Album. Following her time at Disney, she led the Electronic Media Services Division of the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) National West Coast office where she significantly expanded the video game department within her first year by establishing an agreement that gained broad support from composers, producers, and musicians. Transitioning to business development, she coordinated score recording sessions with the Skywalker Symphony Orchestra for Skywalker Sound and later joined the leadership team at Formosa Interactive, where she launched and oversaw the music department.

Working with the world’s largest video game companies, Ciaramella has delivered projects for Sony Interactive Entertainment, Kojima, Xbox Game Studios, Blizzard, Ubisoft, Epic Games, Riot Games, Tencent Games, Wizards of the Coast, Netflix Games and many more. Ciaramella is also the Executive Director of The Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.), Co-Producer of the annual G.A.N.G. Awards, and the Editor-In-Chief of The Audio Source Magazine. She has presented at several conferences and schools such as the Game Developers Conference (GDC), GameSoundCon, BIG Festival, Develop Brighton, NOLA Game Fête, USC, NYU, Berklee College of Music, and L.A. Film School.

Now Sr. Director of Music at Sound Lab, Ciaramella will continue to bring entertainment projects to life through expertise and passion for the art of sound, serving a global roster of clients.

Sound Lab has been helping to create immersive narrative journeys for over three decades, delivering audio solutions on esteemed blockbusters such as Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio and the recently released Transformers One, alongside hit TV series like Mrs. America, and iconic video games series such as Final Fantasy, Valorant, Cyberpunk 2077, Batman: Arkham Shadow and Resident Evil.
