Gamescom launches internet TV show

The organisers behind the upcoming Gamescom 2011 have launched a new internet TV series building up to the event.

Gamescom TV’s first episode went live on Friday, providing viewers with a summary of what to expect from this year’s trade show, a glimpse behind the scenes and a trailer for Uncharted 3.

The show is presented by German TV presenter Annica Hansen and IDG editor Nino Kerl. It is recorded in German, but features English subtitles.

There will 11 episodes in total, released every Friday. In the run-up to Gamescom they will focus on how preparations for the show are coming along. Once the event has finished, the remaining episodes will present this year’s highlights.

Gamescom TV can be found at the show’s official site, on YouTube, and at Gamestar.de. Gamescom 2011 takes place in Cologne from August 17th to August 20th.
