Halo remake supports Kinect

Almost as an aside in an interview with GamesSpot, Microsoft Game Studios boss Phil Spencer has confirmed that Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition will support Kinect.

As a first-party, we believe that Kinect will be important to all genres of games," he stated. "Be it racing games with Forza, combat games like Ryse. Even games like Halo Anniversary have Kinect integration."

The extent of the functionality remains unclear, thought it’s unlikely that the full game as we know it will be playable using just the motion camera.

No form of Kinect integration has so far been announced for Halo 4.

Halo Anniversary becomes just the last in a long line of core titles to bring Kinect into the fold, with others including Mass Effect 3, FIFA and all future Tom Clancy titles from Ubisoft.

Microsoft has recently stated that consumers can eventually expect Kinect support for all of its first party Xbox 360 titles.
