[Industry news] MIAM! launches MIAM! games

This is a press release posted in addition to our usual editorial content.

As MIAM! celebrates 10 years of independent animation and international success, the French group announces the launch of MIAM! games, a new activity dedicated to the development and production of premium video games for kids and family audiences based on its flagship IPs.

Founded in 2016 by producer Hanna Mouchez, MIAM! has progressively built a unique model structured around three complementary activities: – animated series production through MIAM! animation, – a real-time CGI production studio through MIAM! studio, – and international distribution through MIAM! distribution.

Over the past decade, the company has become recognised for its technological innovation, commitment to eco‑production, and the creation of impactful children’s animated series. Today, the group reaches audiences worldwide with brands such as Edmond and Lucy, The Tinies, and Goat Girl.

MIAM! has developed an ambitious technological innovation strategy based on the use of real-time 3D software (Unreal and Unity) to produce animated series. This production pipeline allows the company to create high‑quality CGI content through more agile, iterative and collaborative workflows while also reducing production costs and environmental impact.

This innovative technological approach naturally opened the door to gaming. By relying on reusable real‑time assets and shared production tools, MIAM! is able to extend its animated universes into new formats, including spin‑off series, web games, feature films, podcasts and publishing projects — creating stronger audience engagement while building a more sustainable and regenerative business model. For the studio, MIAM! games represents a fully integrated activity within this long‑term regenerative economic model.

“With MIAM! games, we are taking the next natural step in our transmedia strategy,” says Hanna Mouchez, Founder and CEO of MIAM!. “Gaming allows us to extend the life of our IPs, diversify our revenues and connect with families through new immersive experiences that are fully aligned with our editorial values.”

Launching in 2026, MIAM! games will focus on the in‑house development and production of premium video games inspired by the studio’s original IPs, combining ambitious artistic direction with accessible gameplay designed for the whole family. Faithful to the editorial DNA of MIAM!, the new label will bring together experienced gaming professionals alongside the studio’s creative teams to develop premium, non‑violent and non‑competitive cosy games designed for children and families. The ambition is to create trusted gaming experiences validated by children and reassuring for parents, while responding to the growing place of gaming within family entertainment habits.

MIAM! games is currently developing two original titles adapted from MIAM!’s animated brands, including:

  • The Tinies: Craft Family, inspired by the 3D upper‑preschool comedy series The Tinies, broadcast on Canal+ and more than 20 broadcasters worldwide.
  • Edmond and Lucy: Thing’s Journey, adapted from the internationally acclaimed preschool series Edmond and Lucy, broadcast on France Télévisions and in 150 territories.

Both games are expected to be released between 2027 and 2028.

Ahead of these launches, MIAM! games has already been producing several first interactive experiences, including three WebGL games around Edmond and Lucy and one arcade WebGL game inspired by The Tinies.

The company’s gaming strategy also benefits from strong momentum around its IPs. Between 2026 and 2028, both Edmond and Lucy and The Tinies will benefit from either new audiovisual seasons, theatrical releases or derivative content launches, creating growing audience communities around the franchises.

With MIAM! games, MIAM! confirms its ambition to build long‑term bridges between animation and gaming while consolidating a sustainable and diversified creative model for the future.
