Playruo, a professional cloud gaming solution for video game studios and publishers, has announced it has completed a €2.1 million funding round.
Led by investment funds Kameha Ventures and Blast Club, this new funding round will accelerate the large-scale commercialisation of Playruo’s services:
● Instant game playtests
● QA and product approval
● Previews and reviews for the press
● Game streamers specific marketing operations
● Secure sharing of builds between studios and publishers or investors
● Playable demos accessible without downloading from ads and web pages

All these services are manageable with maximum flexibility and complete security, without
requiring any effort on the part of the studios or publishers.

This funding round therefore marks the transition from a market validation phase to a phase
of international business expansion.

A unique proposal to better face a challenging context
Within an industry facing increased competition and a challenging environment, Playruo
positions itself as a solution to unrisk video game development and publishing. After all, the
best way to ensure a game’s quality, validate its audience, and introduce it to players remains
simple: put it in the hands of players. And now it’s available instantly, via streaming, and with
just one click, anywhere in the world.

To achieve this, Playruo has developed proprietary technology that enables games to be
streamed instantly directly to the browser. This allows players to try out a video game instantly,
with just one click, on any device.

A new 2026 key partnership with PulluP Entertainment
As evidence of this momentum, the Playruo team is also pleased to announce the signing of a
strategic partnership with publisher PulluP Entertainment, effective this year. Playruo will
provide its playtesting, QA, and press preview tools for select titles published by Focus
Entertainment and Dotemu.

These two industry leaders, known for hit titles such as A Plague Tale: Requiem, Warhammer
40,000: Space Marine 2 for Focus Entertainment, and Absolum, Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge for Dotemu, will be able to rely on Playruo tools to streamline the
testing phases of their games, from pre-production through production, in order to gather more
user feedback under optimal access conditions, while ensuring maximum protection for shared
content and versions.

This partnership adds to a robust list of client case studies, including organizations such as the
SNJV (French national syndicate for video games) as a technology partner for the Pégases
Awards, as well as Ubisoft and Webedia, as part of a marketing campaign for the title Avatar:
Frontiers of Pandora.

“As many as 20,000 games are released every year, so it’s an understatement to say that
competition is fierce! With Playruo, our goal is to reduce the creative and marketing uncertainty
faced by developers and publishers by making it easier to test and access games,” explains
Fergus Leleu, CEO of Playruo. “We want to transform every test and every time a game is
shared via Playruo’s solutions into a measurable insight for industry players.”

“Playruo turns games into instantly accessible experiences. This is a major shift. By removing
installation and distribution friction, they enable studios to test faster, market better, and reach
players globally with one click. We have followed and worked with the team for several years, and
have been consistently impressed by their vision and execution,” says Olivier Gemayel,
managing partner chez Kameha Ventures. “At Kameha, we strongly believe that tools like
Playruo, built in gaming, will define the future of interactive content distribution across industries.”
“Supporting Playruo’s growth is fully in line with our strategic vision for digital entertainment. Their
technological edge and the team’s expertise make them a cutting-edge player, capable of
addressing a major challenge for studios: optimizing and securing player conversion,” details
Anthony Bourbon, founder of Blast.Club. “We are proud to support them in bringing this
offering to market, which is already shaping up to be an industry benchmark.”

The Playruo solution has been developed by Fergus Leleu, Jean-Baptiste Kempf, and Yannis
Weinbach. Drawing on their expertise in cloud computing, advertising, and video games, these
three enthusiasts took on the challenge of creating a cloud gaming solution tailored to the video
game industry.

Playruo’s solutions are available and accessible starting today. And with this new round of
funding, the teams are eager to accelerate the international rollout of their solutions to
revolutionize access to video games and reduce the friction between players and their games
to a bare minimum: just one click!
