Killzone 3 gets concrete date

The American PlayStation blog has issued the first solid release date for Killzone 3 – February 22nd 2010.

Previously Sony had only confirmed a February arrival for the game, which is the third in the series first debuted by Amsterdam-based developer Guerrilla Games on the PS2 back in November 2004.

Though there’s not yet confirmation of the European release date, February 25th looks the most likely option – though don’t rule out a slightly earlier arrival on February 18th.

In addition, attendees of PAX in America last week also got the chance to demo the game as controlled by the PlayStation Move for the first time. Players will be able to issue an assortment of commands via gesture, though the buttons remain an option for those preferring a more traditional gameplay approach.
