Little Nightmares gets three-episode season pass next month

Bandai Namco and Tarsier Studios’ Little Nightmares is to receive a three-part expansion pass, the publisher has announced. Entitled Little Nightmares: Secrets of The Maw, the 7.99 season pass will add three new chapters to the game as it tells the tale of a parallel escape story.

The first chapter, called The Depths, will arrive on PS4, Xbox One and PC next month, with the second (The Hideaway) following in November. The third and final chapter, meanwhile, will be released next January.

To make it easier for new players to get the entire experience, Bandai Namco is also launching a new Complete Edition of the game, which will include the base game and the expansion pass in one package. It’s not yet clear whether this edition will be available as a physical or digital-only title, but we’ve reached out to Bandai Namco for clarification.

Following the story of The Kid, the expansion pass will explore brand-new areas of The Maw, offering a different perspective on Six’s adventure in the main game.

Little Nightmares first launched on April 28th in the UK, and the physical version made an impressive debut at No.4 in the UK weekly charts.

At the time,Bandai Namco Entertainment UK’s PR and marketing director Lee Kirton told MCV: We have high expectations for Little Nightmares with awareness that has been growing since Gamescom of 2016. Following on from showcasing at key consumer shows through 2016 and 2017, we have gained high momentum and huge praise from media. We are so very happy with the feedback from media and consumers for this beautiful game and it sets a benchmark for visual and sound design from an amazing studio Tarsier."
