Martyn Brown leaves Team 17

Martyn Brown, the co-founder of Leeds studio Team 17, has announced his departure from the studio.

He had front-run the studio for around 20 years, and said he’s leaving the group in great shape”.

Team 17 recently turned its back on third-party publishers in favour of digital distribution – a move that was said will increasing the number of downloadable games it produces.

I can finally announce that I left Team17,” Brown said on his personal Facebook account.

I had an amazing 20-year ride and whilst it’s the end of a truly enjoyable period of my life, it equally signals the start of a really exciting new one.

My sincere, heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped, in any way, shape or form over those two glorious decades. I leave Team17 in great shape, but now is time for my own adventure.”
