Gamers will be able to upload captured footage straight to world's most popular video site

E3 2014: PS4 Share function getting YouTube link

Sony has announced PS4 owners will be able to link their PSN account to YouTube for direct uploads.

The PlayStation 4 already boasts a Share button on its controller that can be used to capture game footage and send it to other PS4 users, but the platform holder has announced this will also let gamers upload it to the world’s most popular video network.

Furthermore, videos uploaded to YouTube by PS4 owners will also appear in their live feed so friends can see what they’ve been up to.

The link was announced by new SCEA boss Shawn Layden during the platform holder’s E3 press conference.

Layden also announced that tech demo The Playroom would be receiving new content soon, including the ability to broadcast and stream your play sessions.
