Further job losses at Nokia

Handset giant Nokia is accelerating its efficiency drive in light of current economic conditions with job cuts in its Devices and Markets units, Corporate Development Office and Global Support Division.

The plans will affect approximately 1,700 Nokia employees globally. The company says it will start consultations with employee representatives about these plans were applicable.
