MTV teams up with movie producer for games push

MTV Games, owner of Guitar Hero developer Harmonix, has signed a deal with film and television producer Jerry Bruckheimer to set up a development studio tasked with creating new IP.

The deal represents the first step into gaming from Bruckheimer, who has worked on Bad Boys, Con Air, Armageddon and the Pirates of the Caribbean series, and follows the announcement by MTV in November that it would invest over $500 million into games over the next two years, reported
