Second season of The Walking Dead may tie-in with TV show

The next series of episodes from Telltale’s The Walking Dead could tie-in with the AMC show of the same name.

CEO Dan Connors told Polygon anything is possible,” when it comes to what’s in store for season two – specifically mentioning potential crossover opportunities between the game and the television show.

There’s nothing saying our characters couldn’t cross over with their characters at some point in the timeline,” Connors said. It’s a very interesting concept for us.”

Connors added that one Telltale’s major aims is to get people engaged and talking about the game in between the series’ episodic releases.

A huge goal for us is what happens between episodes. How do you carry the experience through? How do you use this ability we have to keep people engaged and talking.”

The Walking Dead’s second season is still in the ‘planning stage,’ but it’d be a surprise not to see it launch at some point this year in the same multi-episode fashion as the first season.
