Michael Jackson hits Kinect and Move

Today sees the release of Ubisoft’s Michael Jackson: The Experience on Xbox 360 and PS3.

The game, which until today has been available only on handhelds and Nintendo Wii, takes the successful formula laid down by Just Dance and adds a healthy dose of the King of Pop.

Last week MCV revealed that the game has sold a total of 3m units around the world, including almost 320k in the UK.

The Xbox version of the game requires Kinect and uses Player Projection technology to place a digital version of the player in the game. The PS3 version, meanwhile, allows users to upload pictures of themselves playing directly to Facebook.

Both SKUs also contain three tracks not found in older versions – Stranger in Moscow, Blood on the Dance Floor and I Just Can’t Stop Loving You.

We believe Michael Jackson The Experience for Kinect and Move will continue to build on the success and momentum of the Wii version,” Ubisoft’s EMEA VP of sales and marketing Geoffroy Sardin stated.

Michael Jackson The Experience is really a must-have game for fans and gives everyone the chance to learn his timeless routines, signature moves and lyrics as they perform some of his greatest hits.”
