Minecraft title update hits Xbox 360, PS3 this week

Minecraft’s next major console update is ready to launch, Mojang has announced.

The indie studio listed out the notes for Title Update 14 in a post on its website, adding that the patch will land today on Xbox 360 and tomorrow on PS3. The new update features a new zombies villagers mob, new recipes, terrain generations, dyeable armor, and more.

Mojang’s Daniel Kaplan also mentioned Minecraft on Xbox One and Playstation 4 – explaining that the versions are being worked on, but the studio isn’t ready to pin down any official release windows.

"For you guys asking about the Xbox One and Playstation 4 edition: It is being worked on as we speak," Kaplan wrote. "I got no proper dates yet, but hopefully soon we can tell you!"

Minecraft was originally shown on Xbox One at E3 2013. It was supposed to be a PS4 launch title, but ended up being delayed to sometime later this year.
