Angry Birds launching Kovalainen F1 tie-in

Having already feasted on the joys of cross-promotion with film tie-in Angry Birds Rio, Finnish studio Rovio is to embark on a second licensed venture.

As spotted by Pocket Gamer, Angry Birds Heikki is associated with former McLaren and Lotus F1 driver Heikki Kovalainen, who currently races for Caterham F1. And is also Finnish.

Nothing official has been revealed about the title, though it is speculated that it will be a web-based title rather than a smartphone release.

It’s also reasonably safe to presume it will feature birds. Angry birds. And a catapult.

The game has a release date of June 18th, though expect more details to be released before then.
