App Store devs have now made $50bn+

Developers have now earned more than $50 billion through Apple’s App Store, with last month providing a record-breaking chunk of the change.

Apple CEO Tim Cook tweeted the news, congratulating devs for their success and such inspired creativity”.

He added that July of this year had proved to be a bumper month for the mobile marketplace, generating the highest-ever number of monthly billings and revenue paid to devs.
