Apple sells 1 million iPads

Apple revealed on Friday that it has sold 1 million iPads, and added that the gadget hit its target more than twice as fast as its iconic phone.

The firm also began selling the 3G model of the iPad over the weekend in the US. This version can access AT&T’s cellular network, whereas the first models had only Wi-Fi access. The Wi-Fi-only models start at $499, and the 3G models at $629.
