Chorus is localising The Room for Asian markets

Publisher Chorus is bringing localised version of a number of titles to the Asian mobile market, including smartphone hit The Room.

It’s all part of a deal that has secured to the rights to not only Fireproof’s puzzle hit but also five other titles – Dragon Finga, Kitty Powers’ Matchmaker, The Adventures of Bertram Fiddle, Super Glyph Quest, Swap Quest and Dashy Crashy.

Chorus will handle localisation, monetisation, marketing and PR.

"We’re very excited to partner with Chorus Worldwide to bring fully localised versions of The Room to new audiences in Asia,” Fireproof co-founder Barry Meade said.

As this is the first time we’ve worked with a publisher, we were keen to make sure we found a partner who understood and respected our creative values. Chorus has demonstrated that they have the same high standards as us, so we’re confident that the different localised versions will be games that can continue to proudly bear the Fireproof logo."

In 2014 Chorus localised three other games for Asia – Raven Rock’s The Secret of Raven Rock, Alex Trowers and Leanne Bayley’s Glyph Quest and Cliffhanger’s Aerena: Clash of Champions. It will this month release Beartrap’s Sky Patrol in the region.
