Dena opens Canada studio

Dena, one of the world’s biggest mobile games companies by revenue, has expanded its operations with a new studio in Vancouver.

The group, which fully owns mobile studio Ngmoco, wants to raise $600,000 for the new outfit. Irfan Virk, who currently heads up Dena subsidiary Gameview, is said to be heading up the new studio.

"We are excited to begin operations with the great talent in Vancouver," Virk said.

"DeNA anticipates the new studio will meaningfully contribute to augmenting the whole group’s game development and operating capabilities."
