Boss Fight Entertainment already houses 25 staff

Ex-Zynga Dallas devs form new free-to-play mobile studio

Former Zynga Dallas and CastleVille developers have opened a new game studio called Boss Fight Entertainment.

As reported by Venturebeat, the new company is led by ex-Zynga Dallas GM Bill Jackson, and will focus on free-to-play mobile titles.

The studio was officially formed in June 2013, following the closure of the Zynga office as the company cut costs across all of its operations.

Boss Fight has been operating in stealth mode since then, and the developer currently houses 25 employees.

“We learned quite a bit about designing and operating free-to-play games over the last five years,” said Jackson.

“Boss Fight’s next game will combine everything we know about free-to-play and mobile with the high production quality of our biggest franchise titles. We’re already working on an original IP that we’ll start talking about in the coming months.”
