New studio from Threes! creator will be the first partner for social and mobile specialist

FunPlus kicks off $50m indie funding drive with Sirvo partnership

Family Farm developer and publisher FunPlus is to support the “future of indie gaming” with a $50 million investment campaign.

The mobile and social specialist revealed that its first partner would be Sirvo Studios, the outlet recently founded by Threes! creator Asher Vollmer.

Under the agreement, FunPlus will help Sirvo to develop and distribute its debut title, Guildlings.

Chief strategy officer Dan Fiden added that FunPlus would also be looking at developers outside the world of mobile, with a priority placed on innovation, rather than platform.

The amount invested into each title would similarly vary by “capital needs” and situation.

Further details are yet to be announced.
