Mobile SDK from GAN Game Ad Net offers monetisation through mobile video advertisement hosting

GAN debuts new ad-hosting mobile tech

German outfit GAN Game Ad Net has unveiled a new technology and service to allow developers of mobile games to monetise through the hosting of advertisement videos.

Named Mobile SDK, the solution delivers videos from high-profile international agency networks, offering pre-selected material from well-known brands or current film release trailers that purport to be of ‘premium quality’.

Presently video-based advertisement campaign integration is currently only available to mobile game developers based in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. However, the service element of Mobile SDK will be extended to mobile developers in the UK, France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands during the fourth quarter of this year.

“The Mobile SDK is our response to the overwhelming demand from both game developers and advertisers. Games are the driving force behind the growth of the mobile market," said Marlon Werkhausen, co-founder and MD of GAN Game Ad Net. "Our advantage is that through our long-term experience we are thoroughly familiar with gamer behavior and know very well what works and what doesn’t.

"At no time will ads for other games or ‘subscription traps’ be delivered via the GAN Ad-Server. In fact, the GAN video rotation only contains premium-quality advertising videos for well-known brands. This is the first time that publishers are given a reliable and sustainable solution to monetise their own inventory in a secure and lucrative way.”

Hamburg-based GAN Game Ad Net previously offered similar services to casual and social games makers, hosting videos on the likes of browser and social networks.
