Strike me down with all of your hatred and your journey towards the dark side will be complete! Etc.

Ian McDiarmid, who played the evil Emperor Palpatine across the Star Wars movie saga, will lend his voice to Rovio’s upcoming Angry Birds Star Wars II. Although of course he’ll be voicing a pig, as is the way of such things.

Angry Birds Star Wars II will be released on smartphones on September 19th.

The original game, meanwhile, is due out on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, Wii and 3DS on October 29th.
