Just Cause dev Avalanche releases first mobile game

Avalanche Studios, best known for the chaotic Just Cause series and the upcoming post-apocalyptic title Mad Max, has entered the mobile market with Rumble City.

The title is a bit different from the anarchic Just Cause series, and is a turn-based strategy game starring American bikers.

Rumble City is already out on Android and Amazon devices, while the iOS launch is coming tomorrow (Thursday July 9th). It’s free with in-app purchases.

When the team presented the characters of Rumble City, I instantly knew that I wanted to share them with the world” said Avalanche CEO Pim Holfve.

While the game may be far removed from our trademark open world madness, it captures some of the same oddball humor our fans have come to expect and demand from us. That’s why Rumble City, despite being so different, feels right at home in the Avalanche Studios catalogue of games.”
