Crossy Road, Does Not Commute, Vainglory and more named as some of the best apps on iOS

Mobile games sweep the Apple Design Awards

The winners have been revealed for this year’s Apple Design Awards – and half of them are games.

Out of the ten apps named for their excellence in design, five were games with the winning titles including puzzle games, MOBAs and more.

The successful games were Hipster Whale’s Crossy Road, Mediocre’s Does Not Commute, Super Evil Megacorp’s Vainglory, Triada Studio’s Shadowmatic and Vectorpark’s Metamorphabet.

Even the student category included a game, with jump-O – a puzzle game by Gabriel Mathias Rocha and Victor Lappas Giménez – named as one of two winners.

You can find out more about the winning apps at Apple’s website.
