ZombiU port in development for PS4 and Xbox One, report claims

Ubisoft’s ZombiU might be returning from the grave.

Unseen64 reckons that Ubisoft is currently pushing ahead with development of a port of the game, which was a Wii U launch title and exclusive, for PS4 and Xbox One.

This project is one I’ve been keeping an eye on for a while,” it says in a video, which can be seen below. It’s been in flux for some time but I’ve recently received some information that it’s finally found its feet and could be ready to surface soon.

This is not confirmation that it will see release. I am confirming that it is in development and the Ubisoft team is finally ready to move forward with it. Maybe there is some hope at Ubisoft that they can turn this around and they can build this into a viable franchise.”

The first game was reasonably well received by critics but was a commercial failure for Ubisoft, with CEO Yves Guillemot saying that it was not even close” to being profitable, eliminating the possibility of a sequel.

Unseen64 says that the information comes from the same source that detailed unreleased Ubisoft Wii U title Know Your Friends earlier this year.
