New Battlefield incoming

EA will tomorrow announce a brand new game in the Battlefield series, it has been confirmed.

The news comes courtesy of Ben Cousins of EA business unit Easy Studios who has been at EA’s ongoing O2 showcase in London.

Little is known of the title at the moment, though Cousins has confirmed that it’s not a sequel to an existing Battlefield IP, and is a completely new title”.

Note, though, that Cousins works with the online free-to-play Battlefield Heroes, suggesting that this new title could be another stab at that particular market.

A DLC extension to Bad Company 2, called Battlefield: Vietnam, is due for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 before the end of the year. Battlefield: Bad Company 3 is also expected to revealed in the near future.
