Online games company continues mobile push

Nexon acquires mobile studio inBlue

Nexon has acquired the Japanese mobile studio inBlue.

The company, already well-established in the online games sector, has made a series of recent purchases of mobile companies.

Today Nexon announced a deal to purchase all outstanding shares of the studio, an agreement set to close by the end of this month.

InBlue has developed mobile social games for the GREE and Mobage platforms since 2010.

Its title Sengoku Pockets recently won the Special Award at the 2011 GREE platform awards

Nexon is internally developing a number of Mobile titles for release on iOS, Android, and the GREE and Mobage Platforms.

While details of the arrangement were not revealed, Nexon does not expect the deal to significantly alter its financial outlook for fiscal year 2012.
