Team to focus on mid-core mobile titles

November Software joins Zynga

November Software has become the latest team to join Zynga’s collection of mobile developers.

Zynga has been pushing to reshape itself as a mobile company after several rough quarters due to the migration of customers to smartphones and tablets.

Studios like OMGPOP, purchased this spring, form the backbone of Zynga’s efforts to shift fire to the blossoming new market.

November Software was formed in San Francisco in 2011 by former EA Tiburon staff and members of the team behind LucasArts’s Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 1 and 2.

The company is a unique addition to the Zynga team, being focused on mid-core games like its current action combat project formerly known as Golden Arrow, now renamed Battlestone.

This is being built using in-house tech that promises 60 FPS, fast workflows, and on-demand content streaming.

"When we talk about mid-core games, we’re really talking about making a deep game experience more accessible," says November’s Szymon Swistun.

"We know that players, like us, love a good action combat game, so we want to push the limits on social and mobile games, and at the same time create an experience that fits around their schedule."
