Revamped N-Gage suffers delay

Next-Gen

reports that global phone giant Nokia has delayed the launch of its new N-Gage mobile games service from this month until later in the year.

Rather than focusing on a dedicated gaming handset, as was the case with the first N-Gage, this time round N-Gage will represent a dedicated mobile distribution service that is compatible with a range of Nokia’s latest generation phones.

This is because of a delay in software testing. It’s been pushed back a few weeks but the website will launch globally before the end of the year,” a Nokia spokesperson stated.

The new N-Gage has received backing from the likes of EA, Capcom, Vivendi and I-play.
