Studio working on user-generated racing title What on Earth

Traplight Games nets $500k funding

Finnish mobile developer Traplight Games has secured $500,000 in funding.

The studio is working on physics-based mobile title What on Earth! with a focus on user generated content. The game is due for release in early 2015.

Investors in the studio include Sunstone Capital, Finnvera Venture Capital and East Wings. Sunstone’s Nikolaj Nyholm, who held an advisory position at Minecraft developer Mojang, has also joined the studio’s board of directors.

Traplight Games was founded in 2010 in Tampere, Finland, and currently employs 12 staff.
