Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate heads west in 2015

Capcom announced a new title in its popular Monster Hunter franchise today, and this one’s getting a western release.

As part of the Monster Hunter Festa 13 event this week, the publisher unveiled Monster Hunter 4G will arrive for 3DS in Japan sometime later this year. The game is a follow up to Monster Hunter 4, and Capcom has confirmed the two titles will be connected with data transfer support.

The company also revealed the upcoming game will make its way to western audiences as Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. No specific territories were mentioned, but the version is expected to arrive on Nintendo’s handheld in early 2015.
